Doing Aalavattam Kainkarayam / service is considered a blessing and an opportunity given to us to serve Perumal. 3. Many Aacharyas such as Thirukkachi Nambigal (Kanchipurna Swami) has done Aalavattam Kainkaryam for Varadharaja Perumal at Kanchipuram. Today also at Kanchipuram devotees are doing fanning service to Varadaraj Perumal during regular darshan time.
